More Disabled Veterans to Get Tax Relief

Senate Bill 28, sponsored by Senator Rosalind Kurita (D-Clarksville) passed the Senate Monday (June 11, 2007) to provide property tax relief for those veterans who are 100% permanently and totally disabled.

The relief will no longer be limited to combat-related veterans but will also include those who have service-connected disabilities.

The vote will be updated online at the General Assembly Web site.  It was 31-0 without Senators Cooper or Ford voting.
